Over the last few weeks, I’ve literally been living in pinafore dresses. They make a great change from my usual daily look, consisting of ripped skinny jeans and my beloved khaki parka. What I love most about the timeless pinafore is, it screams feminine and elegance, while still being comfortable and versatile to wear during the day, whilst on the go. I picked up two pinafore/dungarees style dresses just after Christmas in the Stradivarius sale and I’ve gotten so much wear out of them already.
Firstly, I got this denim dungarees pinafore. It’s perfect for day wear, complete with spacious pockets (woo!). The straps can be adjusted and I think the mid-thigh length is just perfect. The best part? It only cost me..wait for it..€12.99! By far one of my best buys ever.
Secondly, I got this black a line shift pinafore dress. This one could be taken from day to night, it has a more ‘grown up’ feel to it. Also complete with pockets, it’s so comfy and flattering, perfect for teaming with tights and either flat or heeled ankle boots. This also cost me an amazing €12.99! As you can, I simply popped the same knitted turtle neck inside both dresses, making it a cosy winter look. However, for the warmer months, you could opt for a t-shirt or cami alternative.
Unfortunately, both dresses are now sold out online (sadface). However, I have gathered a few of my favourite pinafore dresses that are currently available online;
